There is nothing wrong with children having candies once a while, It's a special treats for them. About the Super Nanny I watched that show and love that show, the problem with those children are that some parent are not taking up their responsible to do regularly schedule, mostly letting the children take charge and taking power over the parent. That is the major problem with children. Parents give in to tantrums, they are teaching children that they can get whatever they want if they scream loudly enough and cause a scene, That's the problem. It's a "no no".

But, Cheri's right. Children absolutely need limits! You can't let a 3 yr old rum amok doing whatever they danged well please. If you do it at 3, what do you think the kid is gonna be like at 13? I think you should start setting limits even before they can really get into trouble. There's no reason why you can't put your baby to bed early, and then, continue that as the baby gets older. One of things parents seems to back off on, is bedtime. Who in their right mind lets their toddler stay up til 10pm? But, some parents do. They are setting themselves up for a nightmare as the kid gets older. |
