8-Year-Old Boy Finds a Way to Include 6-Year-Old Disabled Brother in Triathlon | Bleacher Report
Eight-year-old Noah Aldrich proved that anything is possible if he puts his mind to it.
When Noah heard about a local youth triathlon, he had an interesting idea. Not only did he want to do it, but he also wanted his six-year-old brother, Lucas, to be able to participate. The two boys are inseparable, according to Today.com's A. Pawlowski, but getting the two to do the triathlon together would take a lot of work.
Lucas was born with lissencephaly, a rare brain malformation, and is confined to a wheelchair. He can't walk or talk, but he is doing much better than doctors expected.
No matter how much work it took, Noah wanted to make sure that he could take his brother along for the experience at the triathlon. With Lucas weighing about 50 pounds and the bike trailer adding on an additional 40 pounds, Noah needed to train for three months in order to build up the strength and endurance to make sure he could push and pull his brother through all three stages.
The story is remarkable.
Through the 95-degree heat, Noah pushed through the triathlon.

It took a lot of work, but in the end, it was worth it for Noah to share the experience with Lucas.
