Once someone has been sentenced to death, the capital punishment process begins. It usually takes years for a condemned prisoner to be executed, since there is a long appeals process at his or her disposal. People who have been sentenced to death are housed in a separate section of the prison called death row. Once a prisoner has exhausted his or her appeals, officials choose a date for the execution to take place. At this point, the prisoner may be transferred to the "death watch" area of the prison.

During the final 24 hours before a prisoner is executed, friends, relatives, lawyers and others are allowed to visit the condemned person. The final hours of a condemned prisoner's life include a last meal, a visit from a spiritual advisor and from the prison warden, and the arrival of witnesses to the execution. Finally, just before the execution begins, prison officials equip the condemned person with a heart monitor, which will later be used to verify that death has occurred.

i saw a documentary....on a very similar subject... if not better but had a more frank discussion, it recounted how wardens hated their job so much... some quit, some carry on as they don't wish for other people to do the executions....
this one as you shared showed how the 3 different methods were done, that I like, as showing how it compares, whereas the one i saw couple years ago were just lethal injections but in greater depths of remorse, and horror of being the one to carry out these executions...
thanks

Because some stupid idiots started ordering expensive exotic foods then not eating it in retaliation to the execution or to prolong it by eating slow, they have stopped the last meal to death row inmates....except a bologna sammich.

This is not universally true. Texas recently stopped it, but doesn't limit it to a bologna sandwich. Many states still do the last meal. This information is found as easy as a search on wikipedia.
