Johnny Cash Great Niece stabbed to death

Was the great niece famous for anything besides being the great niece of Johnny Cash? If yes, why is his name in the headline. If no, why is it even news (except locally)?

I hope you're not waiting for me to laugh at your sick joke! I don't think you would liked someone making that kind of joke if it was your wife and mother of your son!
 
That is terrible. I guess they did not expect that the man who stabbed them did not know he has a very bad drug that cause him to murder. I don't know if that is true of the drug thingy. Maybe it is possible. :dunno:

It is sad news yes but we don't know this person personally. I would understand getting upset if it was your relative.

You have to admit it is a good joke!

My daughter is 17 years old and close to the victim's age so I just cannot imagine the horror the family must be going through famous or not. Ughhh
 
That is beyond sad...what a beautiful couple...and a God send the baby survived, but what a horrible loss for the family.

Ever watch Jay Leno? One of his monologues may start off with a tragedy from a real news out there and then he ends it with a joke. I am not laughing about the woman killed at all and neither is he. No doubt. It is horrible. I am laughing at the joke itself. It is something Jay Leno would say.

Although in all fairness, one thing Leno knows as a master comic is that comedy is tragedy plus time. A joke so soon after the loss of a young life and mother just falls flat.
 
Maybe Jay Leno was testing people in the audience to see if that is funny or not. If they think it is funny, then that is very heartless to laugh when somebody died. If no one is laughing, then the audience knows that is terrible about the tragedy. Like Shel90 on #9 is correct that no one should not laugh at something that is terrible to the couple and unhurt baby. It does not matter whether famous or not. She just happen to be the grand or great niece of Johnny Cash. It is not about her being famous. So get over it. :(

Yes, I watch Jay Leno and when someone had just dies I never heard him joke about. That young woman was a mother and g/f , a daughter, and granddaughter and I may not had even been buried yet . It's very disrespectful to be making jokes about the woman tragic death. I don't think anyone here would want anyone making joke about the death of their love one. I am very sure Steinhauer would not had thought it was funny if anyone made a joke about the death of this grandmother.
