JCPenney 'Fake' Prices

A store in my city was going this too. They would have a 'big' discount sale and jack up the prices and the sale price would the original price or even a little more. There was a furniture that had a 'yearly' going of business sale . It was going of business for 4 years , before it really went out of business.

Terrible. They should be ashamed of themselves.

I have a feeling that other stores do that too but not to that extreme or obvious.

Yes, it could be possible, but at Belk, definitely not because I paid $50 for 100% cotton sheet set that originally priced at $200, but when sale ends, the price return to normal or less than normal like $100.

I thought in america as in uk they have price pledging..If you see something elsewhere then you pay cheaper shops price..it was a American idea or so my American brother says

Everything is made poorly today , nothing more than a few years today. I had my mom's vacuum cleaner from the 50's and it was still working 30 years later. Mom used it all the time . I brought a vacuum cleaner and it broken in less than a year.

Yes, but if you have Dyson or Oreck so it will last longer.
