This is a sweet story that I had to share. She is an amazing 3 year old!! Was thinking that I'm glad the 3 year old or her sister wasn't sick from the bug that apparently was going around.
It's been quite a month for the Lynch family of Weymouth, Mass. Not only did they welcome a new bundle-of-joy to their clan this week, but their 3-year-old daughter, Aryanna, was honored and credited for saving her eight months pregnant mama's life last month when she lost consciousness after suffering a seizure.
Tiffany Lynch, Aryanna's mother, explained to The Patriot Ledger that she started to get really dizzy (thanks to a nasty stomach flu that had her wrapped around a toilet). The next thing she remembers were the EMTs in her house cutting off her clothes.
When Aryanna realized that her mama wasn't waking up, she sprang into action. She grabbed her mom's smartphone, cracked the password (crazy, I know!), managed to go through the cell phone's address book and call Tiffany's cousin, Kristine Munnis (a.k.a."auntie"). Believe it or not, Aryanna only knew that this was the correct number because she recognized the snapshot next to the name!
Munnis didn't pick up right away, but Aryanna knew to leave a spot-on message.
"Auntie, call me. Mommy's not waking up. I need you,'" recalls Tiffany. Once Munnis got the message, she immediately called 911 and returned little Aryanna's call. She answered the door for paramedics looking oh-so-cute in her Snow White getup. She stayed calm while caring for her baby sister, 1-year-old Camryn.
But where was the daddio during all of this? Incidentally, Kevin Lynch was already at the emergency room after he awoke during the middle of the night with a severe stomach bug.
Both Aryanna's parents and the Weymouth police department are calling this tiny tot's actions nothing short of amazing.
"It could have had a tragic ending if she didn't do what she did," said Weymouth police Capt. Richard Fuller.
