Illegal to beg panhandle for money...
Panhandlers Sue City For Being Kicked Off Magnificent Mile « CBS Chicago
Do you know areas where people have been kicked off for panhandling? I think that panhandle should be illegal. I remember going to museum one time. Someone was begging for money. My brother gave them some money and they ran to buy a hot dog with money. |

I never give money to begging because it is obviously that they will buy drugs.
I almost got robbed by homeless people in DC that who tried lock me in and try to get my wallet but I just fought them off and threw $5 on street then ran to subway station.

Panhandlers are everywhere. Guessing some are legit, some not....and thought it was mandatory for them to have a License?...Believe all the Police does is just run them off if they are bothering people in grocery store parking lots (as it happened to me).

That is pretty much what is done here unless something more serious happens or they have a past criminal history that the cops know of.

The real problem with panhandling is the government does not like non-taxed income and the competition of someone else with their hand out. Seriously in Cheyenne there was a time you could not get out the parking lot at Wal-Mart without being approached. I even get tired of Salvation Army, Fireman’s Boot, or at the cash register, donate a dollar to.
Best Approach I did see was in Loveland CO last Saturday, sign said. “Family killed by ninjas, need money for Karate lessons”.

Yes Soutthpaw, that is what I was told about the ones around wal-mart, 300 to 400 a day. I did run into a homeless man by Holiday Park (he does not beg he looks for aluminum cans) but anyway he could sign well. Met him by looking for another man that used baby strollers. He needed wheels and I had been given one to forward to him. I do not mind them they never bother anyone but the sign holders do bother me. On the other hand how about "Deaf Girl, need a new dog anything helps"
I am coming to Pueblo for pepper fest in a few months, do you go to that?

You get arrested for vagrancy in some city. We have homeless men living in a park in my city . The guys are there all day and store some of their belongings at the park. They also stand on a the street with a sign asking for money. The cops do not seem to care as they never pick the men up.
