new poem. by Macian.. sanctuary..
sanctuary
In the sanctuary of my garden on a summers night The warm breeze caressing my body in the fading light Each day i find it harder to relate To a world driven by greed, scarred by hate. The rape of our daughters, murder of our sons Young lives wasted before they had even begun More than enough to make the strongest man cry But long gone are the days when my tears ran dry. To escape everyone needs their own space for me its my garden, my very own place At one with nature, just smelling the flowers There's no better way to while away the hours. My heavy heart growing lighter as the night wore on Through the trees the moon casts a shadow that danced across the lawn As i sat there taking in the crisp night air I was alone with the world without a care.
