I'm new...but won't be for long. :)

I just found out about this website through a friend of mine. Let me introduce myself. I'm deaf since I was born and I'm proud of it. I love to write since ninth grade. Of as now, I'm a senior, closing to graduation. I'm 17...blah blah...enough about me.

Let me show some of my works to give you some ideas of how I write. Any comments will be appreciated.

"I'm Standing"

I'm standing alone, staring at myself in the mirror
Feeling my heart starting to race as I come nearer
It's such a bliss to see my love’s soul right beside
Her body's transparent except for her heart inside

The excited heartbeats got louder as it came closer
I hope she knows that I’m a true lover, not a poser
Feeling the aura around my body, safely haunted
She erased all of my feelings that got daunted

I’m lost in the deceiving consequences of my own
Fighting and trying to overcome the fate itself alone
An unexpected betrayal is struggling to filter through
Determination has me trying to seek for something true

Everyday, I’m constantly defeated without hope
All the troubles I’m having, trying my best to cope
Setting senses straight, finally realized in the end
I finally can see what I really want is a true friend

Ahh...I see...Knowing that I'm accepted in this community. I can start a new thread with my works in it. New thread title..."The Silent Truth", which is a name for my new book with collection of my works.
