Greetings to All
Im still new to alldeaf and tryign to get a feel of how things go around here. This a poem that I wrote some time before and I wanted to share it here. It's dedicated to all of those who desire to be more and to do more but just have to give their own selves the chance. We are our only obstacles and this goes for all people for all of us are faced with challenges. Let me know what came to your mind as you read it. All comments and constructive critcism are welcome. * smile* Hasna' ===================== WORMS OF HOPE How sad is certainty And uncertainty. They are so interchangeable. I may be certain only that I am not And I may be uncertain as to my certainty. IS that how worms feel? Uncertain. Certain. So sure that they are wormy and slimy and cold. and yet simultaneously Uncertain if they will be anything much better than a blind creature who breathes in the darkness of dirt lives in the darkness of dirt.. Eats the darkness of dirt.. And puts out Dirt. You wonder at my words and I say… For get my temporary insanity... As it IS only temporary but for a few sentences A few careless lines a few brief moments in the space of vast time and then senseless ness will morph s l o w l y into sense Like a strange grubby caterpillar changing his clothes while in his closet chrysalis to become... to become... a Butterfly. For some reason we do not relate to worms. They do not symbolize something that we all hold on to... HOPE . They are too strange, too alien, too grounded in their limitations. We only appreciate worms of a more colorful type. Caterpillars... for once they emerge with colorful wings Bravely, gaily fluttering in the breeze They catch our eyes and our hearts. They are without fault They do no wrong.. We forget……… they were only grubby little worms once bestowed with a chance , blessed with an opportunity to be light To be breathtaking… To be truly truly BEAUTIFUL. |
