I love this picture...

This is a picture I took last winter, before the floods last summer here in Iowa of a bridge that was swallowed by our flooding river...

tell me what you think of it.. I have it framed on my desk

The word that comes to mind when I see that photophraph is escape. Or an escape. The fact that it's a B&W gives it a more dire, depressive position.

I'm the visual guy...that's why I adore ASL.

This picture is what a tramp, with his/her precious belongings on the tip of a stick, sees as they are about to exit a rail tunnel.

I like the picture, too. I like pictures of old, industrial stuff. I also like pictures of corridors and hallways... It reminds me of a picture I manipulated in Photoshop way back in 2001 (so long ago).. . .

Thanks I can understand why you framed your picture. It is a good feeling when you know you have captured a great picture. I know it would like very nice on your desk, too.

Have you felt like going back and taking more photos of the bridge from different angles, etc?

I don't think you have a weird imagination. I usually find it difficult imagine things on my own. Its usually people like you who help inspire my imagination.

Yes, however its not there anymore.. It collapsed into the river when it was flooded. We had horrible floods here last summer in Iowa. It was a very old train bridge Here is some pics of when it collapsed. It had a train on it..
