Impact on ASL Literature

Hello, i need some help for ASL Literature class. The assignment is to write a research paper how video and technology impacts on ASL literature? if all hearing people know how to sign, how it impact on ASL literature? I need some ideas. Thank you for helping me....

Functions as a recording - preserving stories and captures sign language as it evolves over time. We really should record a lot of the older generation's stories and experiences as they tell us in ASL...

Hearing people knowing sign and using the media? I guess as a form of communication, such as using a videophone to communicate directly?
