Hello to you also. Do you mean you tried to illegally download a pay service?
If Netflix is free now I am interested.

No Netflix is not free. You must have a membership and pay abt $4 a month in renting movies.

Netflix via online do not have CC/subtitles. So obviously you have to rent physical copies of the DVDs or Blu-ray which will have CC/subtitles anyway.

I'm usually getting the subtitles from allsubs.org and the movies from Netflix with tunebite. This soft I'm using downloads netflix movies and converts them to avi so that I can play them on any device I want. Besides it saves netlfix videos it can save also youtube videos and even shows from hulu. So, I'm downloading movies from netflix or hulu and subtitles from that site and watch the movie offline on my player. It's very easy and if you need any help in recording movies from netflix, find here a good tutorial about how tunebite can capture movies: How to record stream capture music videos movies from: Netflix

Thanks for your suggestions, I took a look at this Tunebite and I'll give it a try, because of its features. I'd be great if it could download movies from Netflix and other streaming online movies sites. Thanks

UPDATE!! Netflix adds Captioning/Subtitle Option on the PS3 & Wii Starting October 18th. (still relies on the same limited number of titles - same as PC/Mac)

See Article: Netflix on PS3 goes disc-free, gets 1080p streaming and 5.1 surround sound (update) -- Engadget

All Netflix "Subtitles" work like DVD English Subtitles (bypassing the Closed Captioning chip on TVs and using its own technology to display English subtitles) With the new PS3 & Wii system upgrades (no Disk required), the option to turn subtitles on or off are on the Title Page of each title (where is shows "Start from the Beginning" "Add/Remove to Queue", etc.) On Titles with Subtitling added, there is a new button on the same line as the stars/rating/year/length called "Subtitle | Audio". Click on this to turn on Subtitles (also option to switch from spoken English to another spoken language such as Spanish, when available)

Here is a list of Netflix InstantWatch titles with English Subtitles.

Netflix is ad-free, I wouldn't accept it as free. It's hassle.

You want free, go to hulu.com :ugh:

yeah, Netflix is ad-free, you should pay very month, if wanna free, turn to Hulu and YouTube...
I tried with some youtube downloaders
Well, youtube downloader just works for youtube I think, at least the iFunia Free YouTube Downloader which im using is just can download videos from YouTube :(
hmm, but I recently found a list of great movies from iFunia: 5 Best Thanksgiving Movies to Watch on iPad - it's a pity that not free, also can't get for free :D:hmm:

I am planning on switching over from Blockbuster to Netflix. Because of popularity and streaming video on PS3 and computer.

AS for Hulu.com, I do watch sometime. I watched "Zatoichi, The Blind Swordsman" (all series). It's a good funny Japanese movie. Subtitle is included.

:hmm:This seems pretty old solution to save Netflix streaming movies. Was just wondering: is this app still working to download Netflix streaming or anything like that?

I against Netflix. Even if they success put subtitles on every movies, I still would not subscribe them. Even if they low their price, I still would not subscribe them. Once they screwed, they stay screwed. They should walk to rent movies! It is so lazy for them to sit and order on tv, PS3, Xbox360, or PC! This world have a problem with fat people already. Earth can't carry that much weight! (Inside joke).

Wirelessly posted (sent from a smartphone. )

I tested Netflix on my Android phone and was disappointed that there is no captioning on it. Not even one has it. I think captioning works on the PS3 version of Netflix.

You can't download Netflix videos normally. However, I was able to test a recording by using my Wii to play Netflix, then putting the Wii output through an old analog Panasonic DVR, then from the DVR to the TV.

The old analog Panasonic DVR does record the video stream.

Not that I save the recording. It was only a test. :cool2:

Actually, I have put my Netflix account on hold for now... too distracting during the semester. Plus, with all the changes Netflix is doing, i want to see how it shakes out.

Same here. We all can complain to Neflix to add Subtitle button in Android!!!

You used a tool to download from a paid service, and it says in netflix's Terms of Use, you cannot download the content ever or copy their DVD's for commerical uses.
