because i don't know same download because possible in download virus, my school is kelse school screw up because i have problem on email that isn't good really very concern about to virus on email. send to people wonder stranger people is wrong revelent to someone is stolen to people. Hotmail Email account always get junk and spam emails.

1. Don't click away to open every Email with attachments assuming that it is all safe.. NOT!!! Be wise and take your time and don't "click away"..

2. If you see email that you got from stranger or don't know who from?? You can click open and read it but DO NOT click "ATTACHMENT" or Weblink to download to open if you think it contains pictures, file, or weblink. DON'T!! or Don't tempt to!!!

3. If you want to take risk to open ATTACHMENT, be sure file name that end with .bmp, .jpg, .xls, .doc. .txt, .gif, .png, or few familiar files which ARE NOT EXECUTEABLE. If you see mixed "file.bmp.msi" or "file.png.exe" or any file that is excuteables on end that have two periods on it, that's virus.

4. Be sure that Anti-virus and Spyware software are updated and scanned on computer before you can check Email.

If you don't want to screw Windows OS... (Windows XP or Vista)

Try any Linux OS. Either that you can installs it or download and burn ISO image of any "LiveCD" Linux Distro free then boot up PC and log in website to check you hotmail without any worry or constraint. Linux can't "understand" common virus code. It'll ignore virus code and can't hurt Linux.

Then put your computer back in the box and return it to store for refund.

OR

Stop use Microsoft because it have over millions virus unlike Linux and Mac OSX.

Follow to catty about linux or get a mac.

Travis, if you get an email that warns you about virus. Do NOT click the link! Do NOT download. Delete that email. Some warning emails are FALSE. They are tricks that hide trojan and other viruses. Use your own computer virus check to search your computer. Use your own computer spyware adware check.

What safe download website do you guys suggest for Travis?

Either go online and type on Google search "Antivirus review" to see which is best lol. ( I have no guarantee that best Antivirus would be the best. It's merely an Editor's opinion )

Avoid McAffee at all cost!! cuz it missed Trojans and several viruses even it had been updated to current. It's a bloatware!!!

I use Computer Associate Internet Security Suite (CA Internet Security Suite) which is a "cousin" of Zonealarm. I have it on my laptop and it's free forever as long as I'm a member of Time Warner's Road Runner. It did pretty good job quarantine trojans and virus but not perfect tho. I turned off it's Firewall and rely on Windows XP's firewall due to performance issue.

Sometime Cable or DSL co offer free Antivirus or Internet Security Suite for member to use.

If you have Comcast, Wish you a real good luck fighting Comcast's Totalitarianism McAffee propaganda. It force you to accept and install McAffee to pollute your pure Windoz OS!!. If you refuse to accept McAffee through Comcast's Cable Modem setup, It'll prevent you from connecting to Network. Resistance is Futile, You must be Assimilated!!!
