THINK!

If the Internet connection is lost on both PC and VP

do not try to fix on computer or VP, it will ONLY make worse.

Check all cables, make sure it is connected firmly, make sure none of Ethernet cables are twisted or stepped by foot, it can damage inside that has 8 tiny wires.

Check modem, and finally contact your Internet company.

Sometimes Internet companies have outrages, for example an idiot who drank too much and drove and slapped into telephone pole, which in turn cuts off everything that is sitting on that pole... and yes it can mean Internet connection.

Yup, that's a good start... it happened to me and a friend in the past before. Mine was due to the cable wire itself... a friend's was due to her bad router.

Simply unplug BOTH Cable Modem and Router then let it sit for 1 minute then FIRST, plug in Cable modem and let it run till blinking light steady except for "status" light, then SECOND, Plug in Router and let it run till it settle with steady or blinking lights.

Then check your website and vp. It should work normally. If you see Cable modem did not fill the light after rebooting it, it means main network on Comcast or ISP went down due to outage even during beautiful day.

Some Cable modem have "reset" button using paper clip because it have backup battery that prevent rebooting correctly. If your Cable modem have it, do it.

DON"T reset Router with paper clip (called "Factory Reset") unless you know how to restore setup in router for VP.

It's always the ISP problem. My Road Runner been funky last summer for 2 weeks causing my Cable modem go screwy. I rebooted my Cable modem almost daily basis until RR fixed their network Grrrr!!! It's a real pain in the butt!! Sometime my Belkin N Wireless router crashed for some reason, I factory reset my router and restore router setting for VP. Finally it worked fine.

I never touch my PC and VP setting at all. Everything blamed to both culprits, Cable Modem and Router!!!

So Advise you to check those two culprits before you screw around your VP and PC.
