Just bought the game. played it. LOVE it.

GTAIV is by far one of Rockstar's greatest work ever done in this generation of videogaming.

Such an unique experience in so many things u never done before in previous GTA games.

I give it a complete 10 out of 10.

Have y'all noticed there are more different versions of one car in GTA4 than in the old GTA's? I'll give an example of what I have seen in the game....

Ive stolen 4 versions of the Sabre (a 1986 Chevy Monte Carlo/1985 Pontiac Grand Prix cross)

1) plain stock Sabre
2) Sabre 550SS hot rod
3) beat-up plain Sabre with no front fenders, rust, and different wheels front and back Even the beat up Sabre will backfire! (HUGE smoke coming out of tailpipe)
4) Sabre with glass T-tops on the roof

The GTA III/VC/SA Sabre looks like a 1970 Chevy Chevelle and only GTA VC had just 2 versions of that Sabre (plain Jane and Sabre Turbo)

Even weird is each Sabre drives pretty different!

Every time I play the game, the more amazed I am

UPDATE: In LIB-CITY AKA NYC, I am currently work for Play-box as serve right now.

I found the high speed performance street race cars in penthouse which is car store dealer named Galilo (sp)., it called F360 is known TURISMO on bismarck Ave. and Pyrite Ave. in ALGONQUIN AREA which is NYC, plus I did find the Super-bike NAG 900 somewhere in the Algonquin locations. If you don't done with some missions of story-line. You must done with the BI/Lesbo Elisabeth's some missions in Bohan. She will call you on cell phone before she invite you come over her big party, then she will introduce you her friend (dude black guy) named "play-box" at her place in bohan before you take him heading ALGONQUIN aka NYC/LIBERTY CITY where he live there, which will be unlock. Hey xbgmer u was wondering if I was somewhere in LC? ...LOL I made it to Algonquin I did get Bohan, Dukes and Broker so all that's left is Alderney! Cant wait to see what Jersey is like! heh. and dont tell me anything I dont wanna my GTA 4 experience spoiled if u know wot i mean?

Anyways I can really FORGET what I have learned with all my GTA III series games cuz GTA 4 is so much a different animal. Especially when doing those R3 missions (vigilante, firefighter, paramedic)....its changed so differently and I aint giving out the details how y'all can unlock the GTA4 R3 missions.

Hidden packages for GTA 4 is so radically DIFFERENT...guess y'all have to go hunting with a gun for it lol I also aint giving out the species that u gotta hunt but there's a hint...it makes a cooo coooing sound (that is if y'all have a HA or CI or turned up the volume on the TV)

I picked up this game yesterday. I hated the camera at first, but I'm getting used to it, and I rather like being more in control of it as opposed to being a fixed camera.

That depends on how you make it fun.

You can always try for achievements or play the side quests to take your mind off the missions. That's what I did when I played GTA III for the Playstation 2.

(I made a mistake of doing the side quests later in the game instead of early in the game. Having enemies everywhere made it difficult to complete my quests.)

I have done this GTA IV without CHEAT! whew! ..If you don't believe that, check my gamertag's achievement for yourself, right there! I won't tell you more into details, BUT..GTA's story-line was great and long story!

Yep. For anyone who proably played alittle TOO much GTA its a no wonder he acted like that.

Anyway, GTAIV is really a great game. But something has been bothering me about the series.

Of course GTA series is always made up of cities with millions of ppl in it, and thousands of cars to hijack from, hundreds of people to kill, and so on.

GTAIV is proably the most realistic game I've ever seen but if you ever want to see something as realistic as you've seen in real life.

Then what about this? Where are children? school buses? animals as dogs and birds?

The point is that all you seen in the game is just all adults, cars, guns, drugs, sex, and violence. Even when u drive around in the city or in the streets, u dont see animals wandering around, or kids playing in the streets, or something like that. It just doesnt seem that realistic as u seen in real life somehow.

For games like Bully, have about everything in it expect guns and sex.

Weird, eh? I guess there's a reason to all this stuff.

a) Yeah, most realistic ubran or ghetto area are drugs, whore, rats, criminals like that.
b) Yeah there are birds and pigeons in GTA IV I've seen, however no dogs nor cats. But you have good point about no childern nor yellow bus in GTA IV. thats annony me. thank you for bring it up!
c) I haven't see the realistic present mafia today like back in 1930's like movie: Godfathers, Good fella on and on. Most common realistic life in ubran: gangs against gangs as color of gang tags or blacks against mexican as ethic national groups.

In a response to Next-Gen, a Sony representative stated the two-to-one ratio "doesn't line up" with what Sony has heard from their retail partners, although the rep declined to elaborate on just what exactly their partners were telling them until official sales numbers are available.

So either Sony's and Microsoft's respective retail partners aren't sharing information with each other, or someone's dishing some misinformation. Both platform holders are also claiming boosts in their respective console's sales -- but again, neither has released hard numbers to back it up. When asked if the April NPD numbers would confirm a spike in 360 hardware sales, Greenberg responded that "I think we'll have solid performance in April, but I think you might actually see a bigger impact in May."

Which means conclusive hardware results, according to Greenberg, won't be known until the May NPD numbers are released in June. But even then, the question of who really benefited most from the release of GTAIV might still be inconclusive, as this is only concerning North American sales. The full answer will only be revealed once worldwide software sales figures come in, as well as hardware numbers -- and it'll also depend on how success is measured (selling more copies of the game, or selling more hardware? Or both?).

So basically, expect both Microsoft and Sony to eventually claim victory one way or another, no matter what the numbers say.

One of the big questions hovering around the release of GTA IV is just how much of an impact the game will have on sales of Xbox 360 and PS3.

SCEA released a statement Thursday saying that GTA IV drove a boost in PS3 sales on the game's launch day, although the company has yet to release hard figures.

Microsoft also has yet to release post-GTA IV hardware sales figures, but Greenberg said, "We've heard from our retailers that the consoles saw strong lifts during the week. We typically wait for [research firm] NPD to give us a better read on that.

"But we expect that GTA IV is definitely driving a lot of people to Xbox 360. ... The fact that we know that we're outselling [the PS3 version] two-to-one on the game is a pretty good sign that a lot of those games are going with a new console out the door."

Asked if April NPD results would definitely show a GTA IV-driven Xbox 360 hardware boost, Greenberg said, "I think we'll have solid performance in April, but I think you might actually see a bigger impact in May."

Analysts (and Sony) point out that the GTA series has deep roots in the PlayStation brand, which still has strong pull with mainstream gamers who have yet to upgrade from their PS2s.

But Greenberg suggested that many gamers are ignoring PlayStation brand loyalty in the case of GTA IV because of the exclusive downloadable content that will be available for the Xbox 360 this fall.

"That's making a big difference in peoples' console purchase decisions. ... GTA fans are switching over to Xbox 360 just like Guitar Hero fans and Madden fans did. ...The same thing is happening with Grand Theft Auto IV."

Greenberg also said that many gamers are "graduating" from the last generation of consoles to this generation via Xbox 360 and GTA IV.

Heavy Xbox Live play

Greenberg said that on day one, roughly 1 million GTA IV users went online with the game on Xbox Live.

"It's been the number one game on Xbox Live since its launch, so it's knocked off Halo 3 and Call of Duty 4," said Greenberg. "At launch, our data shows that out of all of our members on Live, the majority of them were playing GTA IV.

"With a community of over 10 million members, that's pretty rare."

Greenberg also said that 2 million GTA IV achievements were unlocked in the first 24 hours of the game's release. In addition, over 15 million Gamerscore points were added to users' accounts in the first day.

1.5 million cross-game invites also occurred during that period.

Microsoft has been keen to leverage GTA IV's strong online multiplayer component by including a one-month Xbox Live gold subscription with all GTA IV launch copies. The firm hopes the game will drive Xbox Live adoption. Gold subscriptions cost $50 for a full year.

"Our teams have been doing a lot of work in advance of this game, in fact, months. The operations team has been working on scaling our infrastructure around building and increasing our server capacities," he added.
