I was signed in PSN then it got signed out in around 30 min then I signed in again and keep signed out again in around 15 min, also I signed again for 3rd time then it does worked then it does happened everyday for me. I just want know about what's wrong with PS3?

My firmwire version for PS3 is 1.80 and download feature from PS store is pretty reasonable with speed, also PS store don't interfere with PSN, both of them are separated.

I think about it was ISP or router or even server from Sony.

For test connection, PSN is always failed and said UPnP isn't enabled then I had checked my router and UPnP is enabled now but it don't allow to enable on PS3. After I passed the PSN test at few time and said my NAT is Type 3. I was frustrated and want kill my router or rip ISP off.

I don't have same issue on Xbox Live, that's odd.

Oh, I called Sony about this issue is solved after disabled on media server, also NAT issue isn't solved yet.

Only easiest solution is... disable firewall on router then Xbox 360 and PS3 would be open at all time.

Damn, my router don't have this feature to disable firewall. I think about want find old Linksys wireless G router, that is under ver. 4, not 5 or 6 because they have this feature, also need low on firewire update, also latest firmwire update can hurt router, even lose of some feature.

I want remove the stupid firewall from router cuz they blocked PS3.

Nice. Do you enjoy converstations with yourself?? LOL, just kidding!
I am also having problems with connection in Oregon, but not to the point where I can't connect to the internet with my '360. I am having problems with net speed. I can't play certain games like Rainbow Six Vegas because I ALWAYS get some lag and it gets me killed in gunfights in that game all the time. I had no problem in Maryland.. In Maryland I had Comcast, and a Linksys router ( I forget which one), and in Oregon, my dad has Qwest, and something else for a router.
The faster games online get, the more sensitive the connection seems.

Have you took network test for Xbox Live? Do it again and check NAT if open, moderate or strict.

If your NAT is moderate or strict then your communicate to online gaming would be extremely limited and usually you get kicked out more, even some lag issue. I used to had one like that on my old shitty router, it was back in 2003 then switched into new Linksys router and issue is only partly solved also NAT is open on new router but would be less limited and there's no one that want all limited goes away except if you want direct to modem only.

Have you tried enable UPnP? PS3 don't have good UPnP feature on some routers.

Dr. Strangelove, I received few message from AIM.

For PSN, it's great when directly to cable or DSL modem, that where I used to play against them via online from RR7 and Motorstorm, also it's great if directly to modem. If you make directly to router and some routers can be asshole, such as unable to fix it and end up to buy new router to get work.

I know that one gamers were end up to return the router about 5 time until make work so success on PSN but I can't remember about brand and model number.

For me, I used to had crappy wireless B Linksys router and UPnP is real BS, also NAT on Xbox Live is strict then ended up to bought new router, Linksys WRT54G ver. 6 then problem were solved after NAT is open but still issue on PGR3. I have tell you that Xbox Live or PSN aren't difference on connection, just need look at NAT issue.

Oh again, I'm going to smash on stupid router, they fucked my PS3 up. :pissed:

It had done with that then time for me to make directly to DSL modem for good until I get alternative device or other router to make work. I would check if no one is house then do it for PS3. Xbox 360 is fine when UPnP is enabled and haven't get trouble at most time.

They need invent new gaming router to rid of firewall then we can go in anytime.

OH!!! I found it and it was from PPPoE on DSL modem, that's looks too diffcult to fix it.

I wish that I need have cable modem, that make easier for router to across it.

Woot, I found it about solve the issue on NAT.

I just disabled on DHCP server on router and allow DSL modem to control on everything, now... I got Type 2, alot better than Type 3.

Type 1 means directly to modem, no router feature built-in.
Type 2 means directly to router, even open the port and put PS3 in DMZ
Type 3 means directly to router with restricted due firewall that blocked PS3
