Sorenson VP Battle

Howdy there! I am currently having a trouble with the VP and linksys router wireless G and westell modem.

This has been a nightmare. I am still battling at it and puzzled. Heres what had happened. A year ago, an VP installer came and installed it for me. He had screwed up the network completely, meaning the VP would work but not the whole network system for computers. My family was upset. So, somehow we managed to fix it, but once again Vp was no longer working again. But later on, somehow i managed to get it working until now it is giving me hell :rl: .

The current set up is, my VP SR-200 router with VP-100, in my room, hooked up on 75 feet long cable wired out to other room, on the linksys router, which is hooked to the main computer and Westell 6200 modem. I had it working ONCE for while then now it has completely not working. I remembered my family had replaced the modem, so i emailed the sorenson support, he told me to follow what exactly were on website, in email, i told him i tried that twice, and then he gave me instructions to re-install westell 6200. I remembered the diaster the installer caused.. so we went along, and same result, BUT odd. VP wasnt working this time and hence NO internet much on the computer. Frustating us so much. I tried D-LINK DS+5 router that the sorenson center uses for the VP at my school instead for vp, did not work either. We need the wireless router for two laptops we use. I am also wondering if VP-200 would be the same issue? I DID set DMZ right and stuff.. 125 bell work.

I am stumped and stuck... any ideas? any advice would be greatly appreciated, I am still working on the problem.

I have found that If i set DMZ on Linksys Router same as the VP, it works. I am concerned if i do that so, would it be a problem for people invading it? Also needing to work on the modem itself as it isnt working since the instructions the support gave caused the problem. All I can see is return the modem to its old self as before no changes was made and set DMZ same as vp on linksys router, on the confirg. Would that work? Seeing that IF the DMZ was set on the linksys, it works perfectly. and the instructions the support gave was quite hassle and shut down modem internet access while the linksys router is still working.
