It's called Yod'm 3D, Yod'm 3D is a virtual desktop manager with the fashionable effect : the cube
it's pretty usable even on integrated cards like Intel 845, although it has limited functions. Intro: Yet anOther Desktop Manager 3D ( Windows XP/Vista , not tested in Windows 2000 ) ( DirectX 9 required ) More info: Yod'm 3D - About - Visual Tooltip ENJOY!

I'm using a free wallpaper randomizer program that changes my wallpaper every 15 minutes. It also focuses on a specific group of wallpapers for specific days if it ever arrives to that date.
For instance, I can have a bunch of Christmas wallpapers that play on Christmas day or a bunch of birthday wallpapers that play on my birthday.

Hope you have 1gb of RAM or more and better graphic card to throw in as many changing wallpaper, widgets, and many animated graphics on desktop. Kidding. I used to have Webshot but I deleted cuz it slowed down my laptop.. Finally decide to download and try out Yahoo's Widgets (weather and clock). It seem it doesn't affect performance much. I just keep it simple. But for my desktop, who cares. I can just load it all up till it bogs. I've tried 512mb along with other 512mb stick in my desktop (1 gb total), I noticed the performance improved!! More memory= better performance CAtty |

I was wondering if you can "steal" Windows Vista's "xxx.msi" files which are theme file and extract it and install it in XP (perhap ask one of ur friend that have Vista installed their system LOL). I've never tried that. even screensavers too. I have NO idea if files like that are compatible. IN that way you don't have to worry about using 3rd party software that crashes pc. I would never use that. I prefer xxxx.msi file to use theme directly LOL. I've done that with screensaver extracted and transferred from Windows 98 to Win 95.. It works!! LOL But the Text and one of screensaver didn't work. So give you idea. Maybe googlesearch it. Catty |

I learned that Windows Vista have different theme file that is not compatible with XP so you can't "steal" from it. It use different file format. Oh well!! Did you ever try Desktop X ?(competitor of WindowBlind) I will try it on my desktop PC to see if it'll screw or not LOL. I've tried cracked version WindowBlind. I don't like it. It screws the registry on desktop. Actually, I DID have Longhorn theme for XP.. It's not a Windowblind. It's just a installation file which is about 25mb.. I AM NOT sure if I still have it cuz it's about 2 years old. I remmy installed it on my old PC w/ XP. It did show working clock, photo slideshow, ect (the Longhorn sidebar) just exactly like Vista. But transparency was unchecked (It did have transparency but my old system's peewee graphic card can't handle it). BUT it did bogs down the performance of old desktop w/ 256mb (it's 600mhz system tho) and Now that I have three powerful system that are 1.6ghz, 1.8 ghz and 2.2 ghz, All have 512 and excellent graphhic card. I would give it a try IF I still have file 2 years ago (I sure hope I didn't erased CDrw or threw away CDrom). That file just basically add and transform all theme including sound, Icons, ect.. It doesn't crash the system anyway. I downloaded it from P2P back then.. I wish they had it for XP for Vista theme w/ transparency IF I found it, I would be more than happy to show off pix on posting LOL Catty |

I just downloaded Vista Transformation program and installed it on my PC. It turned out it must have WindowBlind 5.0 to produce transparency. I skipped that part and went ahead and install the icons ect. Sure enuf it did. But it look like Yahoo's widget. It have changed ever since so I'm just leaving it on PC for kids to play with. It didn't install Theme but transformed all Icons. Interesting. Cuz I was afraid to choose the latter that permanently install transformation and it's irreversable. So I chose the one that I can back out. I will try that on other old PC to see what it'll do. LOL

Abt Windowblinds
I have been using Windowblinds 4 and half year with no problem
I'm using WinXP and the only time when it doesn't function right for instead when it does shutdown PC data for NO reason, or any other acting up it is all becuz of old WB version needs to be upgrade to get it to work along with other prgoram for example like yahoo IM or IMVU that did not work well in old WB version...these two wuld not work together but the old WB version had an exclude applicatons from WB and set it compatiblity options when look of a particular applicaton that had a different look to them by add them on that that work good some dont...until I upgrade it , it works well. Even dont need a cracked version...all it take is to change the dll or use a patch...both work good, with no problem. shadowfeather |
