Hi Folks,

I am power user and knowledge about Windows versions from old Windows 95 to Windows 8/8.1 inside and outside.
but (I am on Windows 7).

Let me share with my experiences on Windows 8 stuff and why i say that "Windows 8 is dead ?"

Some people and I don't like the way layout of original Windows 8 when it launched, But I have been used Windows 8 trial, preview over time and uninstalled Windows 8 off then back to Windows 7, it's all good what it works.

I also have 2 Windows 8 Pro full and upgrades versions I bought for like ten buck and 15 buck I snagged it last year, didn't bother to install it.:deal:

I heard that Microsoft is working on Windows 9 right now and will release Preview Windows 9 this year some time around Oct/Nov this year for everyone can download for trial, feedback, report any bugs etc..., Sure I will get Windows 9 trial for sure :D

What really wrong with negative on Windows 8 ??? :hmm:

1. Start menu is missing :eek3:

2. Two OS in Metro IU/Windows 8 all in one place.

3. Windows 8 is really desgined for touchscreen device like laptop with touchscreen is good, but old laptop or desktop with without touchscreen techology on their monitor are pointless, some people can't afford upgrade new windows 8 hardware with touchscreen built in ready.

4. lot of people are confusing on Metro ui thingy, small and big business do not want install windows 8 for their deployment are very expensive upgrades, unstable for IT staff and poor productive and time, They stick with some XP and Windows 7 machines like hospital, hotel, ATM and some small and big corp.:thumbd:

5. PC Market stats show Windows 8 is dying really quickly just like Vista also very low percent market for window 8, what that mean ? Windows 8 is suck and move on.:io:

I have some solid source info's below for you to read it and it's interesting there.

About Windows 8 Market show low stats:rl:

1. Windows XP Below 25% Market Share, Windows 8.1 Falls

2 Operating system market share

3. Market share for mobile, browsers, operating systems and search engines | NetMarketShare

About Windows 8 is failing just like Vista :slap:

1. Windows 9 will shine because of Windows 8

2. http://winsupersite.com/windows-8/what-heck-happening-windows

3. Windows 8.1 Update 2 is Here, But It’s a Big Letdown

4. Fixing Windows 8 <---- I love this guy is champ !!! He knows Windows 8 is messed up !!! He is great great point of view what windows 8 should have been !, A must watch !!!!, great Vlogs !!!

Now Steve Baller is no longer part of Microsoft anymore I think if i am wrong, Now Steve will holler "clippers" "clippers" "clippers" hop around on basketball court. :laugh2:

Right now Microsoft is working hard on Windows 9 soon and suppose be much better and will boot to straight native desktop version rather than Metro UI.

I hope Windows 9 will be superior like Windows 7.

Long Live Windows 7 !!! :ily:

Long Dead Windows 8 !!! :nono:

I have had Windows 8.1 for a few months now, and all the bugs have been fixed, and it's operating like it should be, and even though I'm no fan of Windows 8.1, I have found that it's crucial to my travels and also my photography, because the camera here is decent quality.

Also, I have seen laptops with Windows 8 touchscreen, so it's not just tablets that has it. Some laptops with touchscreen also has it, and I can say with certainty that it's not quite the same as a touchscreen tablet as this is, but there are people who do have it.

Basically Microsoft put all their eggs in the touchscreen basket and it didn't pan out the way they wanted it to. They envisioned the OS spurring sales of the Surface tablet and touchscreen monitors taking off, as well. It was a really bad call, even I could've told them that wouldn't work out.

For one thing, tablets are niche items. Today more and more people are relegating their iPad to the magazine rack in the bathroom and just using their phone for everything the tablet can do (but the tablet isn't as portable.) Tablets make for good living room/bedroom gadgets, but that's too niche of an item for it to take off.

Secondly, no one is going to want a touchscreen monitor. Arms would get too tired quickly and they'll want to go back to a traditional monitor. It's just not feasible.

Microsoft gambled and they knew they could get away with it because what are people going to do, go to Linux? The worst that could happen is that they'll just have to support W7 more and hurry up and crank out a new version of Windows, which they are doing with 9.

I am using Window 8 , so should I just forget about installing window 8.1 ?
I keeping pop up for it to install .

Yes, absolutely install 8.1. It is better for desktop computers, but it's always a good idea to stay on top of updates. They tend to contain security fixes and improve performance (sometimes.) Make sure Windows Update is set to run automatically and download updates when they're available so you're always updated.

People love tablets but the Surface is both expensive and not very good. Why pick one over an iPad (quality) or Android tablet (price)?

Spectacular misjudging of what people want, to the point of telling them what they wanted. It seems that Windows versions are like Star Trek movies: every other version is good.
