Hello eveyone,

I am a hearing individual who is studying Deaf culture. I would love to learn more about the Deaf community. Furthermore, I have formulated some questions and would love if you can comment below your answers to my questions or engage with each other. I want to learn more about Deaf culture and these questions will help me, Thanks. :)


1. How do you identify yourself in the Deaf community?
2. How do you communicate with your non-deaf friends ?
3. Were you born deaf or did you develop it over time?
4. Are your parents hard of hearing or hearing?
5. What's your favorite aspect of being part of the deaf community?
6. How do you embrace your identity ?
7. Does being deaf affect any aspect of your life?
8. What's your opinion on those who say that there should be a cure for deafness?

How do deaf people deal with tinnitus, or is it even an issue. I am SSD and have it since a load of granite slabs fell off a truck and crushed me.
