Out of the many protocols for data communication, the Secure Hyper Text Transfer Protocol (SHTTP) was the favorite option for a vast majority of the traders and financiers. Here is a brief example of what SHTTP is actually made of. Supposing we want to buy a few currencies online, we will see different elements with reference to the Secure Socket Layer (SSL). When we want to buy currencies over the net say from broker.com, we will browse through the web page of the broker until we eye the currencies we want to purchase.

In this case, we are using SHTTP protocol. Therefore, what happens here is that both the broker and the investor wants to be sure that they are dealing with appropriate sale of currencies to generate profits. This is where the SHTTP comes to play because the investor wants to be sure that the browser he or she is accessing and the server are both actually the broker's and the broker wants to be certain that the communicator is the investor. trade in forex has changed greatly both in the volume of business undertaken and the way in which different transactions is taking place.

What happens is that SHTTP encrypts pages that contain sensitive data, such as number of currencies to be purchased, price and related information etc. Thus, if someone tries to hack information they will receive the garbage feedback. After the identities are made clear, the customer provides the payment method and he informs as to where the currencies will be deposited and the broker takes note of this information. Both of them want to protect their interests. The customer wants security for his currency holdings and other financial arrangements and the broker wants to keep his esteemed customer from his rivals.

Even if the SHTTP was not involved the secured data line might not have been breached. The main point is that the SHTTP is used to authenticate through digital signatures the identities of both parties as compared to SSL. Therefore, when a customer wants to enter a highly protected page, SHTTP asks the customer to identify him or her. Look at Lotus Corporation, they ask potential users to apply online for user Id and password. This is an example where probably SHTTP is used. In addition, some online job search engines require users to do the same thing.
