I am a student at the Des Moines Area Community College in Ankeny Iowa. I am currently doing a research paper on deaf individuals and the problems that they may encounter when recieving assistance in the judicial system. I was wondering if anyone on the forum would be willing to share any experiences with me that they have had, whether it be a pleasant experience or not. Any problems with lawyers including "hidden" fees for the use of interpreters, knowing your legal rights, etc. These are just some of the things that I have read about while conducting my research, but I would like to get some real life opinions to add to my paper.
