Enjoy a variety of cuisine and help raise money for literacy programs with a Taste of Olathe event.
Olathe, Kansas - D.E.A.F. Sunday, Dining for Educational Accessibility for the Future, provides the opportunity to sample food from a variety of area restaurants and enjoy children's activities and a silent auction. All proceeds support literacy programs and resources for children in the state of Kansas.
The event will be held from noon to 3 p.m., Sunday, September 19 at the Kansas School for the Deaf, 450 E. Park St. Tickets are $15 in advance or $18 at the door for adults and $5 for children between 4 and 10. Children under age 4 are free. Sign language interpreters will be available.
D.E.A.F. Sunday is sponsored by the Kansas School for the Deaf, Sertoma Club of Kansas City, Galludet University Regional Center-JCCC, the Kansas Commission for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing and the City of Olathe.
