Wondering if any of us AD'ers ever applied for a job online? Lately in the past 2 weeks, I have been applying online a lot instead of doing it in person. I found that applying online was much easier than doing it on paper.

The plus sides of applying online was that I could fill out an application at 2 AM, reduce a lot of driving to employers saving me a lot of gas, and the best thing is that the HR dept can understand my typed up applications than if I wrote their forms.

The negatives....I dont know yet but Im recognizing a lot of companies are doing online applications like Pepsi, Home Depot, Sears, International Paper, and countless employers.

Some of my online apps went straight to the recycle bin, but I managed to get an interview from one of the employers I applied online so its a pretty good thing....

Yes, I do, but most good jobs aren't taken by people who respond to wanted ads or listings. The best thing for a job is developing your contacts (online and off) and staying on the news. If T-Mobile just announces a new division, odds are they're going to have loads of jobs. :)
