DALLAS - In what sounds like a really low-budget horror film, voracious swarming ants that apparently arrived in Texas aboard a cargo ship are invading homes and yards across the Houston area, shorting out electrical boxes and messing up computers.

^^ It is not as bad as the fire ants but they do more damage to the property compared to fire ants....they eat fire ants from what the article says. They mostly eat sweet juices from plants, though.

I found some good information on wikipedia, it said this ants are attracted to warm and moistness of coast area, such as Houston and it will take 70 years for them to spread to New Orleans, just check out this link.
