I'm 47 in a couple weeks and I've been deaf/HOH my whole life. Never knew of a such community until recently. I never learned sign but I read lips fluently. I just didn't want to bring attention to myself as someone deaf or special. I'm currently wanting/trying to learn ASL to maybe be helpful...
