    SLP easier to find than ASL class

    Why is it easier to find speech therapy than it is to find ASL classes? Our family uses both speech and CASE but I can not get equal support for both.

    $750K settlement over city's failure to provide deaf woman interpreter at arrest

    We must be proactive and make sure that our local police departments are adequately trained. I am working on that now for my child. It has been hard though, the entity that should help me in this says it is not their responsibility but the responsibility of the police departments.

    I'm afraid deaf education is falling apart

    As a parent I agree with many of the posts here. I find myself constantly trying to explain Deafness and education in our school district.
