    Sprint-IP Relay is free and after completing the verification procedure, I was assigned a phone number to place calls. It still works. But if it ever goes south, I have NexTalk Access as a backup.

    I prefer IP relay. Truthfully, there very few times I need it since any communication need can be met by e-mail/IM. The good thing about the ACCESS platform is its not necessary to shell out money for a voice landline I will never really put to good use.

    Of course, it would be desirable to have it run on Mac OSX via a universal binary and on Linux. But that involves considerable development costs to extend this to all operating systems.
