No, because my boyfriend is over 18 and his dad is retired, he got SSDI because of his dad..Dad still alive. My ssi asked me if my parents retired, I could ask for request apply for SSDI. My mom and dad got divorce since I was 2. I don't think my mom can get ss retirement benefit.
