I see people asking why someone hearing would learn ASL. How important is it to you to know why?
I am curious because I am finding it difficult to pinpoint why I was drawn to ASL.
My Grandfather was severely HOH and refused to admit it so I watched him struggle with even the most basic...
I am hearing, currently taking ASL. I have known the alphabet for many years, though that is so very much not the same as fingerspelling! Taking them out of order is a whole new world!
