Those Life Alert TV ads....for the elderly. ...I was "wondering" about us elderly deafies?...who cannot speak or hear...would it be feasible to order one?...Or is there anything else we could use to alert and call for help in case we have fallen and of course "can't get up"?....Many elderly...

I just read about a 59 yr. old man from Lexington, SC, walking on the train tracks...and was killed..The story said he was born deaf or had been deaf all his life...But!...Surely, he could have felt the train's vibrations?...and got out of the way?....

Just watched a vlog about there were over 6,000 deaf in the Chicago area....But you never see them out and about. Wonder why?..."Proud to be Deaf"...but still in hiding?....They don't sign in public...So they are invisible.

I think we all have...at times...are judgmental about an issue/person. The old saying..."don't judge me until you have walked a mile in my shoes" does ring true somewhat. Sure, we deafies in a lot of cases, are judged as "disabled"....retarded...can't be independent...etc., etc. Those who do...

What's a "little bit"?...find it odd some people do say that...either you're Deaf or HOH...unless you want to explain about ur CI or HA....Many times I've been conversing with people and letting them know that I'm Deaf...and they say..."I'm a little bit Deaf in this ear"...
