Update as of 04/21/10 My dad had came home yesterday to live at home, It's a big adjustment. He's really happy being home with his family. We have a hospital bed set up for him, ramps for his wheelchair, 36 inches doorway that is wide enough to fit his wheelchair through and his own physical...

I definitely agree. I didn't know much about ADHD until I learned after my son was diagnosed of ADHD, I went to ADHD support group meeting where parents of ADHD children meet to discuss and get information how to work with your child, and I've read many books on ADHD, most of all those parents...

My youngest son has ADHD, and it has been so frustrated dealing with my son's school because of lack of patience and understanding, they get all worked up and suspended him right and left over something so small. I have often gave teachers suggestions and they don't even follow through. But...

Thank you!! ;) There is more updates... On his right one side paralysis, My dad had wiggle his toes and also had been able to move his limb leg!! God is amazing!! Maybe he will be able to recover all of his right side functions...there is hope. ;)

Update: As of this past week, Dad no longer reply on the feeding tube, he had successfully passed the swallowing test and he's now on a well-balanced diet such as vegetables, whole gains, fruits..He's doing so well and I'm so proud of him! ;) My sister (Angel) has pictures of dad eating...

Ice chips are ice cubes--they are cut up in smaller pieces. It is to test practice swallow function, they normally use ice chips, jello, water, pudding.. ;)

Update: About dad After practicing with ice chips for a week, they had let him try to drink a couple sip of water and swallowed. He did pretty good. Just a matter of time before he can be able to try food. I can't wait! He's making remarkable progress and I'm so happy! :thumb:

Yea! He has his own goals chart so every time he improves during occupational therapy, physical therapy and speech therapy he is given a sticker that goes on his chart. So he can keep in track of his process.

Update: Things are going really well for dad. ;) The last time I came to see him he was sitting in his wheelchair during speech therapy, the speech therapist had asked dad a few questions, she pointed to the cup and asked him what is this, and he respond "cup", *pointed to the table* he...

Update: Good News, Good News!! Just recently Friday last week he had said four to seven words in complete full sentences! He sounded clearer and louder. In fact that he got back some of his full sentences and words, it is just not something you would ever expect to happen within two weeks since...

Most of my interpreters use Sim-Com, they usually sign in SEE/PSE. Both signing methods come from ASL, but they are not used in an ASL-ish way, but rather in a more normal English pattern. But if they're signing in ASL, they use mouth morphemes. :)
