Hi...Does anyone have any information on using a TTY with a VoIP phone/network? The person I am trying to contact has a VoIP phone/network and they say my messages are garbled. Any advice out there?

I was wondering if there are any threads or thoughts out there on how the Deaf-Blind use 9-1-1 services in the event of an emergency. And how the local 9-1-1 centers comply with the ADA re: equal access. Comments anyone?

Thanks for the info. To answer your question, most of the TTY calls I make are test calls. I work for a state agency in Texas. We help to administer 9-1-1 service throughout the state and I assist with coordinating TTY training for 9-1-1 call takers.

Hi Famer Joe, I do not use a coupler because I use a direct connect. Do you know how to send numbers when prompted by a voice response system?
