Even though I completely agree with you, in her case, she was learning, and trying and she was reject for not being perfect. Hell everyone has to start somewhere. And I believe people can be nicer and not act holier than thou, no matter what culture... It would be a different story if she didn't...

Yeah it's Austrian Sign Language around here. Sadly I'm not really finding a lot about Deaf life in Austria on the Internet it's mostly about German Deafs.... I'm looking really forward to taking some ASL classes soon :) I actually wanted to take Austrian SL classes at uni but I that didn't work...

Okay, maybe behave is/was the wrong word what I meant was, like, are there things Hearies do that are totally inappropriate or offensive? For example, when interacting with a person belonging an Arabic culture one should never show their shoe sole, as it is offensive to do so in their culture...
