I used Audicus because it was more convienient, and cheaper than the $6000 the audi wanted. The programming was spot on first time and I didn't need to get adjusted (and my hearing loss is reverse slope and rare. Dr. Meredith Fetch did my programming, so see if she can do yours!

Hi all! I apologize for the confusion. My loss went unaided for 20 years. I only just got my hearing aids a year ago. They're perfectly tuned and everything, I just can't stand hearing everything :)

I positively hate my hearing aids, not because they don't work, but because they make it so I hear everyyyything. I think I went without them for so long that now that I have a 20 year old unaided loss, it'll take me that long to get used to them, but because I don't like them I never wear them...

I had a literal list of 9 or 10 things that I went over with my ENT that we thought caused it. Most of them were my fault, lol

That's exactly what I said (the price of hearing aids one not the brain one). Mother Dearest isn't always there so it's up to me to teach these people what a deaf person looks like. :))

Did they ever do real ear measurement on you? That will tell them if they're programmed correctly.

According to sources, its 110 DB loss. So profound. I would imagine that she remembers a lot of sounds from her hearing days, and that helps, but honestly I think it's more just outstanding work and a little bit of luck on her end. My hearing isn't that bad, but I could never do that!

Lol. I too usuall have a purse, but I'd taken my aids out of their case for god knows what reason, re packed my case, and forgot to put the aids back in the case. Derp!
