I love this thread I am almost on the waiting list for my first CI and I am so nervous about getting one. I feel I have no choice though as it's getting more and more difficult for me to get by at work and I don't want to stop working. Reading others' experiences is very encouraging.

I am going for my very first evaluation for a CI next week and I stumbled upon this forum while doing some research. At the risk of sounding very vain, if I do get a CI will the whole world know, or can it be hidden by my hair? Is there anything I should know before my first appointment...
