In my quest for new CICs (I've been wearing two for the past six years), I came across an audiologist/dispenser who seems ADAMANT about not fitting CICs into my left ear, but an ITC (In The Canal), the immediately larger model of aid. He claims that we have to compensate not only for my hearing...

I'm narrowing it down somewhat to:
Oticon Gaia or Oticon Adapto
Phonak eXtra
Widex Diva
Starkey Axent III
So far all the others I've seen are out of my price range.
Has anyone had any experience with the above in a CIC?
After 6 years of wearing two Siemens Signia CICs I'm shopping around for an upgrade.
So far I'm considering the following:
Bernafon: Neo
Phonak: Maxx or eXtra
Oticon: Gaia or Adapto
Siemens: Triano
Starkey: Axent III
Note that I haven't considered the top of the line models of each...
