After having several 'warnings' in my other thread , I've decided to start a new thread about all operating systems. I only listed a few known operating systems.. There are hundreds of operating systems in reality..

There you go :D

Possibly I can suggest you to learn Apple history.

I was teenager to learn computer for my future education in college. My first computer was Apple IIGS. It is not Mac OS classic. The ProDOS and GS/OS power the Apple IIGS.

1. Apple IIGS, ProDOS and GS/OS
2. Strawberry iMac 266 MHz, Mac OS 9 and Current Mac OS X 10.3 Panther
3. iBook G3 800 MHz, Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger
4. PowerBook G4 1 GHz, Mac OS X 10.4.11 Tiger
5. My future Apple mmmm! Could be Mac SO X 10.6

New Mac OS X Leopard will release in October hopefully. I will update operating system in my PowerBook G4.

Mac OS 9 is old operating system. New Mac OS X arrived in 2000 like Vista arrived in 2006. Mac OS X is about few years technology ahead of Vista.

Apple - Mac OS X Leopard

Thanks for the poll. Cheer!

'Mac OS' in the poll stands for all of those you mention :)

What about NeXTStep operating system? Tim Berner-Lee who invented first World Wide Web. Steve Jobs was founder of NeXT and is now CEO Apple

This NeXTcube was used by Tim Berners-Lee, father of World Wide Web, at CERN and became the first Web server.

He also loves Apple. Friend of Steve Jobs.

Tim Berners-Lee - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Microsoft did not own internet and wanted you all to forget who invented world wide web.

I m not talking about browser. Who first invented first World Wide Web?

By Christmas 1990, Berners-Lee had built all the tools necessary for a working Web: the first Web browser, WorldWideWeb (which was also a Web editor), the first Web server (info.cern.ch), and the first Web pages that described the project itself. The browser could access Usenet newsgroups and FTP files as well. However, it could run only on the NeXT; Nicola Pellow therefore created a simple text browser that could run on almost any computer. To encourage use within CERN, they put the CERN telephone directory on the web — previously users had had to log onto the mainframe in order to look up phone numbers.

*ahem* it say all.....

Could be NeXT browser? Netscape did not invent www but started first browser.

You dont understand.. I said I was surprised that Netscape was people's first choice to use as browser in early 1990's. if u had read the article you would understand why i posted that. :)

and WWW is still a Browser.

NeXT is OS that was created by Steve Job himself and Apple Bought NeXT and that's how Mac OS X was born! :P and Steve Job is now CEO of Apple :P

I do remember the software "worldwideweb" which was ported to mac os in the 90's

NEXTSTEP Operating System

The concept of the bundle of the computer system "Cube" and operating system was given up and the operating system was sold separately in 1993. Another software product of NeXT was WebObjects for the construction of websites. In February 1997 Apple completed the take-over of the company NeXT and developed Mac OS 8 and the following operating systems with the technology of NEXTSTEP. OPENSTEP is the successor of NEXTSTEP with the OpenStep API independent of the operating system. Rhapsody was the code name for the new operating system of Apple with BSD 4.4 and OPENSTEP technology.

Note: In 1990 the first web server and client in the CERN was set up on a NeXTStep system available. NeXTStep was used on special computers, x86 CPUs and Motorola CPUs were supported

Apple took over the company and changed the NeXt to mac ox s. NeXt is no longer but Mac is still alive today.

You should read again freaky cat :)

(I was student at NTID in the 90's I followed the growth of Internet and WWW and I used the first tools offered by those guys mentioned in the wiki)

Yes!!! I have been that since I was little boy. Steve Jobs founded Apple and NeXT. Steve still runs Apple company! How strange Apple bought NeXT in same founder!

Good don't get me wrong. Nobody is perfect. Most people don't know about because they are still Window users.
