I don't wear anything.
I started wearing hearing aids at age 11.
After loosing my sight I was moved to more powerful hearing aids. I think the best hearing aid I was given was the cubex which was an old fashioned bodily warn hearing aid but then it broke and I found they were no longer made. The other strong hearing aids that I wore instead tended to give me migranes. In the end I became totally sound phobic and went around with my hearing aids switched off. I sort of used them like ear plugs.
I did go back to wearing them switched on about 8 years ago. It was my decision to start wearing them again but I wasn't really allowed to make the decision to stop. Once I started again I was told to wear my hearing aids because other people found it more convenient to communicate with me that way wether I wanted to or not. I became really sound phobic. So when I became profoundly deaf it came as a major relief!

I wear 1 oticon HA and waiting to get my 2nd one as soon as my insurance approves of it.

I wear one hearing aid which is a Oticon Sumo DM. I had it over a year now and it is a powerful one. I did have Bernafon before but I don't like it cos it not strong enough for me.

My brother doesnt wear any hearing devices and hasnt in like 15 to 20 years.

I voted two hearing aids since I was baby .. I used FM system when I was 6 months old baby till age 4 yrs old change to hearing aids till now .

I have been in smilar situation before and it was frustrating . I had to wait for one year and had to save money during that time

I used to have two hearing aids when I was young. I never hear anything but just beep beep. I stopped using it so I got cochlear implant (Advanced Bionic) over three years ago and still wearing it. My cochlear implant is much better than my two old hearing aids! I'm loving it!
