Hi Reba, That is a very nice mailbox perfect for you. I would want my mailbox to be a man's mailbox next to my garage in my driveway and my truck parked there. My wife can decorate the rest of the house inside with a lady's touch and of course that is to be excepted and my office den will be a man's room and my garage will be a man's garage with tools in one corner and a table and throw folding chairs under a swinging dim light bulb while we the guys play cards and drink the night away the Texan way !!!!!!

You're really lame. Seriously.

You could look into flowers and plants that grow about 5 " then stops growing and if they complain then show them the book that talks about the flower or the plant and its specific charactersis and you will still win and keep the flowers and plants around the mailbox because it is still visible and looks nice.

Our is just blank...just plain. We shared the mailbox post with neighbor. Their is white I think and our is black (we replaced it from old one to new one 2 years ago I think).

Reba your mail box with ivy, flowers etc are so beautiful!

I wouldn't want my hubby drinking.. One or two is fine but not every weekend. I think you should let your woman do whatever she feels free to do around the house unless you both come up with a agreement together.. Plus I won't allow a bunch of idoits in my house. One or two is fine only once in a while. The garage is for cars not tools! Sorry.....

Thank you. :P

I don't know the real name. The common name is "potato vine". It's not a real potato that you can eat, but the vine puts out a large "seed" that looks like a brown potato (I'll try to get a picture for you). Each fall, I collect the "seeds" from the vines so I can plant new ones the next spring. The original vine grew from one "seed" that an elderly lady gave me. The vine grows very quickly and thickly. I cut about six inches every other day off the vine.

wow, it's very pretty decoration of mailbox, you have!!! Your is much better than mine... :) That's good example, I can collect for my proud home/garden.

I will take the picture of my mailbox and post here when I'm home from work.
Thank you. :P

I would like to see your picture.

Reba, your mailbox with flowers and leaves are so beautiful!

But my mail box is SMALL Metal Box, you know how Apts are? That's dull.
Thank you. :P

Yes, I know how apartments are.

i have seen mailboxes nearby that decorate for each holidays.. valentines, easter, memorial day , 4th of july, and so on.. i love christmas decorations on the mailbox..
I change the cover on my mailbox for Christmas and fall, and winter. The cover you see in my picture is for spring and summer.

One of my neighbors grows honeysuckle vines all around his mailbox. It looks and smells beautiful. But I'm sorry for the mail carrier--the sweet-smelling flowers attract hundreds of honey bees!

Ummm, the design on my mailbox is red, white, and blue, with American flags, and the slogan "We remember". It's patriotic. I think patriotic is for both men and women. But each person has his/her own taste, of course.
