How are you feeling today? Part II

My lower back is so sore again after my PT worked me so hard. Doesn't look forward to getting up tomorrow morning with sore back.

I broke my leg. And after today's appointment when they ran follow up X-rays, I didn't just break my leg. I broke it in two places!! So I'm gonna be wearing my walking cast a good while longer. It's already been more than 6 weeks!
Can I ask how ya broke your leg?

I fell onto the concrete garage floor. I was cleaning house and throwing out the kitchen trash when I slipped on the wooden steps and landed on the garage floor. Pretty embarrassing lol.

That's her story. I think what really happened was she tripped over that big, bad spider that gave her a black eye earlier. ;)

I'm beat... 14 hours and just got home... now off to

Well that is less damage than what happened to my boss's wife years ago. They had a storage area above their garage and she fell through that ceiling onto the concrete garage floor. Luckily one of their daughters was home at the time and she got to the hospital quickly. It took a number of metal plates to put her back together (she is still alive but I forget if she is in her 80's or maybe even 90). She was in the hospital for quite some time and her husband, who owned a construction company, came up with the idea of her designing them a new house. I thought she come up with something very, very well thought out for however many people might be there at any given time. It also includes an indoor swimming pool. We had some company parties there and I found it a size to really have fun in.

Even in the climate here in Southern Illinois that metal proved bothersome in the winter. They did then buy a place in Florida and turned into somewhat of snowbirds.

I had a small spot on my nose about 30 years ago (and I'm not a sun/tan worshipper). They did the freeze job on it. I wanted to watch but they had my face all covered because of where it was. I tried peeking out a little gap between the coverings.
I now go about every 2 years for skin cancer screenings due to my fair skin & past history.
Glad it all went well for you.

thanks...I have to get a checkup every 4 months now. 2 years ago, I had Basal Cell on my arm....and Squalmous on the vein of my hand (that hurt!)...Dry patches on your skin need to be checked as I had one on my eyebrow and it was pre-cancerous...they froze it. Anything that looks strange or odd on your skin, best to get it checked out.

That's tough, AlleyCat...hope you heal without any lingering problems......Need a nickname? Lol......

I already have a nickname. It's Muffin. I don't need any more. :)

:) Keep it that way. I have so many different nicknames it's insane. Yes I will answer to all of them too LOL. No none of them are "romantically involved"- Sadly.

Everyone including me is wondering. For cripes sake, just spit it out! :)

Had my surgery this AM (2 & 1/2 hrs.)...everything went very well...Basal cell skin cancer...2 spots frozen but the 1 on my jaw line required surgery...A heck of a lot stitches too...it was as big as a 50 cent piece...but haven't seen any 50 cent pieces in a long time...(has anyone?)...Lab results were good...waiting on the numbness in my jaw to go down...LOL...and they let me watch everything...(mirror)...
the sun bathing and tanning booths we use when we are younger...sometimes come back to bite us in the azz when we get older...No doubt about it...Glad it is over for now and keeping an eye out on my skin and of course staying out of the Sun much as possible.
Wow, you've been thru the wringer! I'm sorry that you had to experience all that surgery. I hope that you won't need more.

Oh, no! I'm sorry that wasn't the news you were expecting. :(

Nicknames--I've never had one. Even when I was younger and asking my friends to give me one, no one could think of a name. Now, at our boxing class we're supposed to create boxing nicknames for ourselves. I haven't got a clue.

I can't believe about how much is bureaucracy at USPS in Atlanta.

My package was supposed to went from my area to suburb in North Atlanta metro, but it is still came out and in with 3 different USPS Hub in Atlanta.

Without bureaucracy, it should be delivered by today or tomorrow, but expected delivery is on Saturday, even I ordered 2 days priority mail.

Birmingham has one USPS Hub, so I didn't know that Atlanta have 3 or more.
