All about electric cars!

WTF are you saying? Look at the picture. Do you think even in 22nd century, it will be safe like this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=24bRtzwK4rY? LOL, oh yeah I am sure future flying cars will be around in the future but I guarantee they will be forbidden in a city like the ones shown in the video.

and yet.... helicopters are allowed to fly around the city...

this is where your argument is invalid

Above the buildings or between the buildings in the city?

Yes, we also have helicopters flying around here way way above the cities. They don't fly between the buildings in your city, do they?

many buildings in NYC have helipads.....

and in the movie - the gap between buildings are probably like 10x wider... basically a highway so.... uh... yea.... beside - what difference does it make if copters fly in between or above the buildings? the risks are still same...

your argument is falling and falling apart..... it's jenga time!

Your point is invalid because FAA doesn't allow helicopters to fly that low between the bldgs in a city because it's a hazard. That's why they must fly above to prevent hazards. It's all about safety. As you mentioned helipads, they must be high enough for the copters to land. You know better than that. I am surprised that you didn't.

Again, look at the picture/video. The flying cars traffic in 22nd Century between the bldgs in a city, it ain't happen. Moving on.

so you're saying in the future... a flying car will still have a propeller....

and you're saying in the future, we'll still be using old laws? some 300 years old laws? :laugh2:

yea time to move on. very pointless as we don't know anything about the future but it's safe to say your logic is flawed. oh - you might wanna check some youtube videos of helicopters low-flying around the city

Jiro, almost a year ago, you said that oil price will certainly go up...

Did they? Oh nevermind! They didn't go up... but went down further, already under $40 a barrel!

Cheaper oil is making electric cars less attractive... Notice the cycle? Same thing for too many decades! The concept of Electric cars have been around for over 150 years.

BTW, I have traveled around America earlier this summer, man! it was blast traveling and I have noticed a lot of oil pumps on idle or turned off... :hmm: Guess too much supply of oil in parking state... Going to be a long time before another boom comes back.

Tesla just cut their prediction on future production.

*shrug*

the technology will continue to get cheaper and more advanced. it's inevitable.

and beside... don't you know oil companies are also in electric car businesses? and green businesses? you think they're stupid? lol they're the one planting these wind turbine generators and funding tons of environmental-friendly programs.

I did?

Are you confused between Oil companies (Producer) and Oil refinery? Don't get confused with them, Sure, oil refinery is into research of alternative fuel, but oil companies? Nope, they aren't interesting in losing oil business. They have a lot of known oil reserves and they OWE money to the bank and investors who do not give a damn but get their money back.

Yes you are right about technologies do change, but the idea of electric car have been around for over 150 years, its not going to change overnight for several reasons, but the primary reason is M O N E Y.

are you sure about that?

Chevron and NiMH battery patents, Chevron Energy Solutions, and solar power. BP Oil and green initiatives. ExxonMobil and "Green Company of the Year". Shell and wind energy.

I can go more if you want me to.

and oil refinery and oil companies? really? I'm about to burst into laughter. new flashes.... they're same thing. well - oil companies buy them

keyword - idea. now it's becoming more feasible. who ever thought a room-size supercomputer would shrink into the size of iPhone? there you go. relax buddy... the computer chip was born in around 1950's... give it some time. combine computer chip with electric car and give it another 50 years... it's unimaginable and it will be awesome.

I'm not concerned about "overnight". Thank you for pointing it out, Captain Obvious. Like I said... it's inevitable. It will happen.

Like these concept of flying cars, eh? Aren't they going to happen anyway?

didn't people say same thing about airplanes?

and who ever thought we would have an "airplane" that would fly into space and back. there ya go.

As long as they don't fly around bldgs, that's why they are allowed to fly. If you think FAA will allow flying cars to fly around bldgs in the future, are you nuts?

Jiro, dream on flying cars, its not going to happen even if one exists. Reason? Its safety issue that faa wont allow happen.

Well, there's one flying car existed, however it must depart and land at any airport, not even on the country roads under FAA. The policy for small airplanes applies the same to this flying car.

Why you always make up the story all times?

It's already exist.

http://www.forbes.com/sites/ericmac...lying-car-could-go-on-sale-as-soon-as-2017/2/

Drivers need just 20 hours of flight time to qualify for a license to fly it and FAA approval.

http://news.discovery.com/autos/flying-car-gets-faa-approval.htm

No, no need to make up story, its the common sense thing... suppose we allow flying cars, what would u think sky would look like?

Current on the land.... like this in sky may be bad idea and waiting for accident n drop is going to happen too many times and anyone below, ahem... I feel sorry for them.
huge-highway-full-of-cars1.jpg

As of right now FAA is dealing on issues with private drones, this will lead them drafting new policy which would ultimate restricts flying cars to limited licenses due to limiting number of flying junk in the air to control mid air collisions... Also one must have money, as insurance wont be that cheap as sport cars.

Also, remmy NYC mayor refused allow Nik Wallenda from walking on high tight rope from Chrysler building... why? Fear of liablity if he fell down and hurt somebody... mayor would think the same way with flying cars.

Flying cars in mainstream? Not going to happen.
