It's up to them. We don't control their life. They make the decisions on their own. I can't believe that you fail to acknowledge that a lot of people don't make the same decisions as ours.

Haven't you read the news daily? Wouldn't you expect a wife who is a teacher having sex with a student? That's not what the teacher's husband expected.

My point is that you can get away with it, however expect that you might get hurt, killed or arrested.

Back to the topic, if I'd love the Confederate flag like Foxrac does, I'd be scared to display it in public because I don't want to die. Too dangerous.

Yes, I'm shocked (and disappointed) that you support senseless violence.

Same here, I'm extremely disappointed and SHOCKED about CP support black people to beat me up over confederate flags.

CP and anti-confederate people don't understand about our ancestries and he is from California, also he grew up in NJ, have no idea about life in southern states. It is considered as culture shock if he visits southern states - start with from central Texas to Georgia, central Florida (northern of I-4 corridor) to KY and central VA - just before NoVA are considered as strong southern culture.

There is reason that I want to be armed over CP claim about black people, also Alabama has hate crime law - the assault on white people can be felony with longer sentence in state prison or death if armed citizens decide to shoot to defend the victim's life.

His post made me very emotional, also I have PTSD - make worse but it won't change my stance on confederate flag. :(

No, I support black people who are offended by this flag. In other words, if they look at it as a racism, I understand why they feel that way. I won't argue with them but I will argue with you. LOL

What I am saying is that if you wear a T-shirt with this flag decal in public, I am not going to beat you up but some black people might. If they do, I support them.

I don't think that this kind of display (something like a baseball cap or T-shirt with the decal) is allowed at USPS nationwide including the Southerns who work in those former slave states.

I don't work at USPS so I don't give a damn about USPS. I have no interest to work for government.

My point is that Foxrac should not piss some black people (who are offended by this flag) off. Otherwise, he would have to watch his back 24/7.

In my older post in this or another thread explaining that some black male students beat up the Korean guy who wore the jean with this decal at my old school.

You are shocked that I support those black people who might beat him up, not him. Oh well, let me talk to Foxrac... THINK TWICE. If you, Foxrac don't want to get beat up, don't start trouble like the Korean guy in my old school.

Shocking - it means you support gang violence. No wonder about gang issues in California and your statement is exactly describe about California. Nearly all black people who assaulted or victimize white people are member of street gangs.

You don't see that happen in southern states, except for high school and there were a lot of students wear confederate symbols and flags, even if school have 50% black students. The fighting between white and black are lowest, but more common on between black and black or white and white.

In Alabama and Florida, anyone who assault someone are gunned down and citizens are legal to carry guns concealed or openly.

We had black principal in 90% white school and he told anyone who offended by confederate flag to get over it and he said that people will find a lot worse than confederate.

I'm very shocking that you support street gangs.

No, they would not be the ones who kill or harm you. It could be a customer at Walmart, your co-worker or neighbor who hates your flag that's flying outside of your vehicle. Aren't you afraid of the flag haters?

No, nearly all assault on white people over confederate flag are black people who are member of street gangs and hate groups.

I don't give damn about flag haters and they will be gunned down to death if they attempt to assault. ;)

We are extremely shocked that you support street gangs and hate groups and you are very, very, very weird person.

LOL, it's not necessary to have a group to beat you up. One black man can beat you up. Please watch your back 24/7 because I care about you.

It never happen to me for almost 28 years.

If you do care about Foxrac, then you wouldn't support violence against him when someone is offended. There is better ways to handle this situation is to walk away, it's not worth going to jail for and losing a job over this.

By the way, taking down the flag will not end the racism nor hate. There is plenty of hatred in human beings that will not end.

Black people in the South didn't wake up but now they do.

Black people were not bothered by the Confederate flag flying at the state capitol until church people were murdered by a young evil man who worshiped the flag. It changes many people's lives. Tell me why the SC governor signed the bill to have the flag removed. It didn't happen before the church massacre. Why?

I do care about him so that's why I warn him about flying this stupid flag which belongs to a museum. If he doesn't listen, he's already warned.

Yeah, there are still hate crimes everywhere. Against gay, black, deaf or other minority.

Did you know Dylan Roof also burned America flag too?

No, that's not true. Many black people found confederate flags to be offensive in 1960s when KKK burned the church down in Birmingham. I know about black history more than you do and Alabama is home of biggest black history, also Birmingham is important core of civil rights movement.

In California, many black people got a lot of discrimination, especially in housing and employment - all leading to 1965 Watts Riot.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/California_Proposition_14_(1964)

Southern states are not only have problem with discrimination so California has problem with discrimination.

FYI, black people in southern states and California are not culturally same and black people in southern states are more tolerant of confederate flags than in California.

I'm wonder about what latino people think about confederate flags?

You are better off to take care of deaf people instead of debating with us over confederate flags.

There are many deaf inmates abused, discriminated and mistreated by guards - much worse than confederate flags.

I haven't asked latinos personally, but it seems like they view the flag as historical, not hate. A couple of quotes from Google finds:

There was hispanic people served on both sides during the Civil War... although not all were hispanic-american (in other words, not citizens of the United States) Hispanics in the American Civil War

I think it's sad that this has taken on such a life of it's own. Are we now going to block it from history books so children never learn what those flags looked like? Are were now going to remove sections from our history books so they don't "offend" anywhere.

The flag is our history and General Lee was once of the greatest American war leaders in our nation and it was a great blow to the north that we couldn't obtain him. The fact that people are talking about renaming streets is sad. The flag represents all of the fallen soldiers of the southern cause, most of which never owned slaves, much less land. If you asked them why they were fighting, they'd answer "I'm fighting because you're here."

You don't get to re-write history because it's unpleasant for you. The young man involved in that church shooting didn't kill those people because they were black. That's just a story he gave to justify what he did....he did it because he wanted to infamous and because he could. There's no rational reason behind it - just as the excuses that Ted Bundy gave for why he killed all those girls were just that - excuses. Ted killed because he could and it's really not more complicated than that for any of them.....

I consider the confederate flag and our civil war history just another victim of this young man....who probably knew absolutely nothing about either...
