I am no longer able to block a phone number by dialing *60 ,it has been removed from Verizon phone line. Gee I wonder who lobbies to get this to happen. The telemarketing companies most likely paid Verizon money to remove the *60 blocking program. I was able to do use this in the past to block a telemarketing that was calling at all odd hours of the day. And it's legal for telemarketing to call your home too, I think that is wrong. People should not be bothered in their own home during meals time or any time .

I thought it was *67?

No, out here it's *60 . I tried just *67 and nothing happen. But I bet
telemarketing had something to do with this being removed , they're the only one that really has anything to gain by having *60 removed .

Put yourself on the do-not-call list.

I am and that does not help . You have to keep track of all the phone calls the day and times etc then fill out a form . People do not want to do all that and the telemarketing know this . The telemarketing seem to have more rights that the people they're bugging.

No. It is federally regulated. You sign up with the number and that's it. If you are still receiving marketing calls more than 3 months later, something is wrong. Try again. Ever since I signed up, I've never received a single unsolicited phone call. Seriously. There are some companies that will try to get around it, but if you are receiving that many calls to need the block number, do it again. No harm in re-signing up.

Some companies have small print that they are exempt from that do not call, if you use their services for anything you are agreeing that they are not exempt.

I am getting a call for a company I never of . I know if I did business with a company they'll be calling me and or sending junk mail . I am getting robotic calls or whatever you call them and they're all over the place and I do not any on line buying of any kind. I am on the Do Not Call list and I put a block on some 800 numbers . I just want to block this one phone # from calling me that I never used. The company that put my new W/W rug was calling me and leaving a phone to call them back at and it was not the same # as on my caller ID . The woman was saying the number so damn fast and I did not feel like listening to it ten times before I got it right. I have on my voicebox a message for people 'To please speak slowly and clearly especially if you're leaving a phone #" and the rug people called four times and each time the woman spoke too fast. I told them to stop calling me if they are going to keep talking so fast and they did stop calling . They did not care if I did not understood them . I am sick of big companies.

So, not a company you've done business with and that has small print agreeing that they can call you. Hopefully you can get this resolved.

That is correct , I never heard of this company in my life until they started
calling me. They been calling at least 4 time week and some time twice a day . I did tell them to stop calling me and asked who they where they just said nothing and hung up . At least they did not call today .

Call Verizon and threaten them to cancel the subscription so they will give everything to fix the problem.

I ignore all telemarketers...

Use block phone numbers in Verizon... I've done that and after it expires 90 days. Haven't been bothered again. I have only received a handful of telemarketers since I signed up do not call list. I never had many telemarketers since. It may not be 100% foolproof but I think it worked fine for me.

I had once told Verizon I was thinking of getting rid of them and the person did not care. They're will not miss one person . I ignore all telemarketers too , I only do business with companies that I call .

I am using that I think I dial *77 to block numbers and that help a lot but for some reason the one phone # I really wanted to block it able to still call me.
It's a bummer *60 been removed from Verizon out my way. I guess it still works in other states or cities.

I always thought it was *67 too... Never heard of the other one....

I would call up Verizon and ask them why you can no longer block certain numbers and see what they have to say. When they give you their answer tell them you will no longer pay for calls from telemarketers that you can not block and then see what they have to say. I have done this with AT & T wireless and I have gotten up to $163 credit from them because I threatened to take my business elsewhere. As for the do not call list, I am on it and it basically doesn't work because our beloved people in Washington DC basically made a law that has no teeth in it. I have however found a ways to get off the people who still call list: One, drop the receiver onto the cradle of the phone from about three feet, two, answer the phone and just put it down and go about my business and about every minutes or so pick it up and say something and keep them on the phone until they realize no one is really listening or three, when you know a telemarketer is calling take a whistle and blow it as loud as you can and tell them to take you off the ------- list. They all seem to work, but unfortunately there are other companies standing in line. The one that works the best however, is if the company's # shows up in the id, I tell them to never call and then go online to file a complaint against them, the govt will fine them but you have to supply them with a number and that is the hard part.

I do not like them calling me up when I am not home and hanging on my voicemail . I been getting messages with a hangup sound . Plus they call that worst time .

That is the example pic I posted and yes that is Verizon picture for the blocked calls I was showing here. Don't worry about the 800# here.

The 800 # was for AT&T I have Verizon , the people had not call back today maybe they stopping bugging me. That is great you got the church to stop soliciting you . I hate when people do that.

The person had not called in two days and that is nice.
