Exactly! Too many idiot drivers out there, that is one reason why I had to limit myself riding around. I don't want risk saying hello to idiot driver in person!

He makes his trailers (still makes them) out of lightweight material. He is also a Goldwing rider.
 
I helped friend of mine installing rear view camera (Sorry, it is NOT wireless!) on his old F-350 and went to U-haul, it made it so much easier to hook up trailer! However, I was surprised that U-haul finally offer trailer specifically made to haul a motorcycle, including my Goldwing, perfect size. Has wheel chock... nice! Rental is $14.95 a day... cheaper than the tow man!

Yes. The trailer weight capacity is 1,200lbs.

I am going to design a rear fold down ramp for it eventually. See the eye screws in the 2x4's ? My idea for light loads, or tying a tarp down.

I like the way that old truck turned out it looks really good. I think some of the Ford aluminum bullet hole rims would be the icing on top of the cake ;)

I'm trying to get better scenic footage. I was thinking about having the camera mount up higher, and behind, the rider. This first attempt just gave me a few ideas on how to make the mount better.

I'm trying to find a video that has really excellent viewing perspective. It was mounted rear-right side.

I used PVC pipe/brackets - and yes, it was too shaky. It was secured well, but the PVC pipe was too flimsy and swayed too much - sturdier pipe will correct this. Just my first attempt and now I know what I need to do to make it sturdier. especially since the next time I go, I want the angle to be higher.

I am also wanting to be able to turn the camera side to side for some shots. Will explain how to do this later. (p.s. yes, it is safe for an experienced rider).

that's what I thought. PVC tube. dang it I'm still trying to find the video. :mad2:

How does he go down a steep hill with that trailer on his bike , doesn't the weight of it made is harder to control the motorcycle? I once got to ride sideseat that was hooked onto a motorcycle , that was fun.

Was that schedule 40 pvc or thin wall? I've seen a lot of footage taken with a GoPro and the results were just marvelous......of course, there's the matter of about 400 dollars to get it...:lol:

The PVC was thin wall and was just lying around the garage. I actually made a better mount using electrical conduit. When I get the chance, I will post pictures of it.


P.S. The GoPro 3 is selling for $300 at Walmart, and the GoPro "white" is selling for $200. I don't know what the advantages, disadvantages are, but I am just using my Sanyo VPC e2100 - I paid nearly $350 for it but it can currently be purchased for a lot less now. Even an el cheapo digital camera generic brand can be used for this as long as it has a threaded mount receiver. All you need to do is find the right size threaded bolt and you imagination to make a mount.

You can see how I mounted it using the back rest brace.

I think he might have electric brakes on the trailer.

GoPro have 3 models.

White- $199.99
Silver- $299.99
Black- $399.99


I don't think he really need black since not many people have 4k yet. So 1080p is good enough as Silver or White.
