I went for 14 miles hiking with 2,250 feet elevation at Alamere Falls (google it)

14 miles? damn I wish I can hike 14 mikes in a day.... but pretty dang hard to do that when I had to deal with multiple steep climbs and 20+ lbs backpack.

I took in this looking to the north view of Mt. McKinley from a snowmobile trail above the Talkeetna River today.

I can handle up to 40 lbs on my back, sometimes 45.

No, I haven't, and with my bad knees, not a good idea. However, the reason I carry 40-45 lbs is because sometimes my cart has no more room, and I need extra space, so I use a backpack when necessary. Now, I don't do it too often, because the food cart itself is about 50 lbs of food and stuff, and the backpack is another 40, so not smart when I need to do it, because I know what the consequences are.

back from 3-days vacation from upstate NY... carried about "12" (or 20) lbs of professional camera gear down the mountain....

A Full Load!!! Carrying back a heavy camera bag in the back and my bag on the front. Definitely worth a professional group shot by my friend.
