what did you get for Christmas?

TCS gave me a face warmer for wearing under my helmet, a book of Pearls Before Swine cartoons, a micro-size clip-on flashlight, a mini Whitman's Sampler, a carrying case for my sewing machine, and two Yankee candles.

Daughter's family gave me slippers, crab/lobster tea light cup, copper cat's tail wind chimes, glass Christmas tree ornaments (grandsons picked out, cheeseburger, slice of pizza, and a girl gator wearing a grass skirt outfit, supposedly me) and gourmet meal worms and holder for the birds.

Got new pots & pans, a new roaster, a little cast iron skillet with a mis for a choco chip cookie that is dairy-free. I also got an ASL book that I already had a a got rid of as I was told it wasn't a good one. A baby blanket for my leg when in cold places (it's the perfect size) and a black fleece with fake fur collar cape.

Wow! My hubby would have loved the box of international beer! Where do they come from?
 
One of the more...unexpected gifts i got this Christmas was 36 bottles of Lucozade sport...because I got to the gym. I don't even drink sports drinks anymore lol

I agree! It is very nice! My daughter did made a Christmas wreath . She got some baby pines cones from Maine and painted them sliver and gold and made a small cardboard Christmas wreath and glued the pine cones around the wreath
and glued a photo of my granddaughter in the center. It is very cute. I love it when my daughter made her own gifts , it mean a lot more to me!

I have a clip on flashlight keychain. No batteries required. Just crank the cute little handle to charge it up.

Were you asking me about a "medium" in an earlier post? If so, what do you mean by that?
 
Right, I assume she meant what art medium: stained-glass, ceramic tiles, porcelain tiles, paint, whatever it was.

It was a very impressive piece. Beautifully done for any age, and particularly impressive that an 11 year old made that.
 
My dad got all us "kids" and our spouses tickets to the ringling brothers circus for the same night.

That was the coolest gift, I thought.

I got a blue ray 3d WiFi dvd player and 51 inch plasma tv. It's cool too, but I hardly ever watch tv.

Your daughter's artwork. Is it glass mosaic, paint, tiles, pieces of paper, etc. That is, what materials did she use?
 
My family splurged on the kids, and we're having "adult Christmas" in March when the money's better, but I got:

Stained glass "I love you" hand
$200 in money from the rich half of the family (not participating in adult Christmas)
Some shortbread
Awesome pj's
Lots of handmade soap and handmade scrubbies/washcloths
Snackies
Two soap dishes
And a couple of other odds and ends.

My big thing, though, was using a combination of my Christmas money and money I've earned to get a Nintendo 3DS and Ocarina of Time 3D.

I also got a book on my kindle.

oh boy! I dont drink sports drinks they taste AWFUL! I go to the gym and always drink water.
return to the store and get $$ back??? :eek3:

how often do you go to the gym?

One interesting thing I got was given me by my 5 year old granddaughter. It's a metal box that is an eyeglasses care kit.

It has a metal bottle of lens cleaner, a cloth, and a really cool screwdriver that screws shut and then comes off and turns around when used, And it has a clip kind of like a carabiner on the screwdriver.
