I can remember when I was at school. My English teacher told me that I must read a book, magazine or newspaper to improve my English and writing too. My English is not perfect but I am willing to learn more and try to improve my writing and reading. What else that you can improve your English?

Your English teacher has good advice. You just have to use the language.

get in debates :)

I noticed an improvement in my English skills since getting involved with some of the debates here on AD.

However, I still have a long way to go.

I like this little list: English Learning Tips - Learn English

As an English teacher, I'm thrilled with your motivation to learn more English. Even I need practice everyday...I'm not perfect by any means. The more we do, the more we will learn. :)

Yeah, My English teacher is very professional teacher. She is still working at my High school since late 70s. She is very very good. I am very impressed with her and she got an excellent advice. Yeah I need practice everyday and keen to read more books and newspaper.

watch movies and tv programs that are not soaps or sitcoms.

ENGLISH GRAMMAR BOOK? Good idea. I might check it out.

Very good idea. Which book? Btw I come from NZ.

It is "Painless Grammar" by Rebecca Elliott, PH. D. Inustrations copyright © 2006, 2007, 1997 by Barron's Education Series, Inc.

And I forget to mention about my another book. It is "Grammar and Composition, Third Edition" © 1987, 1985, 1982 by Prentice-Hall, Inc., Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey 07632.

They're very helpful. Additionally, I got ASLE DVD. It is so useful too.

me too I do it learn book helpful tutorial your grammar also you learn more skills smart and grow your new words! teach development fast lots of hard reading you study on reading

Read one easy fiction book. Then read another and another. Always have one fiction book you are reading.

It is a good way to learn, because they try to write like people speaking naturally. Then if you copy that style you are writing fluent English.

Fallacious! It is good advice! Spell:eek3: check is cool.

Don't bother with it when I am relaxing on the forums. I have to be exacting too much of the time as it is. Most of the time it is a mis-strike. My hands are very small and I have to move and reach a lot.
