Sorenson STILL laid off people after getting rates they wanted

This is also a thought... If a vrs company goes up to tier3 and asks for lower pay... That would be the day.

( I would do it, to crush competition)

Correct me if I'm wrong, but this does not make sense. Can you please clarify what you mean by "ask for lower pay?"

If a VRS advances to Tier 3, they will not earn less revenue, they are still generating more revenue. The Tier 1&2 rates do not vanish simply because a VRS is now at the Tier 3 rate. All those minutes within Tier 1&2 are still generating the same revenue they always have.

I know :)

But think of it from a business tactic standpoint. I move up to tier III and show the FCC that I am doing it very very efficiently, tell them I only need $2.50 a minute at tier III to keep afloat and generate some profit at the same time.

Sorenson just can't live on $4 a minute.

I see the Logic, but it would not work. Believe it or not...the smaller VRS companies do not want Sorenson to go under. However, I did read the ZVRS filing to the FCC. They wanted to extend the Tiers. basically make Tiers 1 & 2 wider. Smaller companies like ZVRS, Purple, & Snap! need that extra breathing room or else they have less incentive to want to be a Tier 3 provider.

Sure they can. They're going it now.

Let's, also, not forget that even Convo needs the small companies to survive. Especially Snap!VRS.

Have you seen a billion dollars in cold hard cash? No. One doesn't need to see things to know it exists. :)

Have you even thought of an agreement between the FCC and a certain vrs company for the company to pay the FCC back the difference and things will be hush-hush... to the tune of 30 odd million dollars?

Cough Cough Cough Purple VRS Cough Cough.....

I know who you are. You tried to intimidate me before and is still trying to intimidate me. FYI: you don't and never did intimidated me at all. Thanks. :ty:

Sadly you are mistaken, you actually do not know who I am. I am just a person from sidelines who had opportunity to observe all of it.

I was not impressed by your appearances, work ethics and way you approached people. I have observed you when you visited me, when you were at DEAF events in NJ.

Should I keep going more?

Wow. You just sounded like a big time stalker.

LOL.. this is so 'you'... still trying to intimidate me.. well, not only me.. people around you. Your constant devaluings, intimidations, mockeries... not to forget to mention that, too.. twisting stories... false accusations... Do I need to say more??

mmm?? Why did Sorenson VIPs say that we were # 1 most improved trainers in NJ (that was before Jan 2010)?? Why did Sorenson VIPs take us to a Yankees-Boston Baseball game? I've spoke to them in face to face and none of them complained about my tattoos, nose piercing, eye piercing, and my haircut... mmm??

If you, "as a customer like you stated above", were not impressed by my appearances & work ethics? Why didn't you report it to Sorenson?? But anyway, your statement as you being as my customer is untrue.

You didn't like my approacheness to people.. I'm terribly sorry, I cannot help it. I'm well known by Deaf community here in NJ because my Deaf mother and I graduated from same school.. The people of all ages feel very comfortable with me because they know they can talk to me without feeling intimidated.. they know I'm very open-minded, very open with them, and I listen to them. I'm sorry that no one percieved you the same way as they percieved me. I know you must be feeling 'spurned' but know what?!.. it's never too late to change yourself into a better person. It will make you feel warm all over inside you. It's a wonderful and nice feeling. :grouphug:

If you need some advices, I'd be more than happy to help you.

Okay.. shall we get back to the topic, please?

Check again.

Gotta be careful with what you say and how you say them. These statements (The bolded points) nullify one another.

To say "just a thought" clearly indicates that the information is not factual. To say "So, how that is not profiting off the deaf?" indicates that the statements you made before the question were, in fact, factual. Which they were not.

If the "profiting off the deaf" statement is in direct relation to the "Without any deaf people, there is no VRS" statement, than this entire thread should just be deleted. All, for profit, companies profit from their consumers. Using this line of logic I can make the statement "Apple profits off of iPod users because they own an iPod. APPLE IS EVIL!!"

That being said, your comments have officially been stricken from the record. ;)

Did not see this earlier. But I'd suggest you to read the whole thing again. I specifically made it clear that one sentence was a "thought". Note "This is far fetched..." "Just a thought" "Not saying they're doing this." I said it THREE TIMES to make sure I was making it clear -- Apparently it didn't register.

This is far fetched but perhaps these layoffs were a dirty business method to implicate fear of cutting rates any further? Just a thought. Not saying they're doing this.

And if you wanted to read the whole post again - you can see me hinting that Sorenson is bullying their way around to get more money. (and they were successful in doing so.)

The simple fact that you are not aware of what the Tier III rates are, and the history of the rate at Tier III itself tells me quite a bit. If you want some more clarifying, just PM me.

Is this how Sorenson employees are, stalking one other, bashing the other person on an open forum? Comical. Thanks for coming by and validating some of my points.

Sorry man, gotta stop you right there. There's no proof of Sorenson committing VRS fraud, or fraud of any kind for that matter. Maybe it's time you give Sorenson credit where credit's due. What am I saying, you'd never do something like that! Forget I even mentioned it.

:) I would post a source of this, if I could...

Sorenson did not institutionally commit fraud in the way that Viable did. Sorenson interpreters committed fraud, they were caught, and were fired. Sorenson voluntarily gave back the fraudulently-obtained funds when they discovered what had happened, well before the FCC was aware of any fraud in the VRS industry.

You can take that to the bank.

No prob.

Question for the pondering - What would benefit the interpreter while they committed fraud?

They didn't have to work. The minutes were running, but they were not interpreting. They could chat on their cell phone, surf the internet, or whatever they wanted.

Perhaps they were curious. just like you can be.:giggle:
